How it works in Bucks County
- Describe the car. Year, make, model, mileage, condition, and the ZIP code where it's parked.
- Get an offer. It's based on the car's condition and what similar cars are selling for right now.
- Sign and get picked up. If you accept, you pick a time and the car is picked up where it's parked.

Selling in Bucks: what to know
- Cars that have been sitting: a car parked for months in a driveway or barn can have flat tires, dead batteries, or rodent damage. That's fine, just say so, and mention if it's somewhere a tow truck can't easily reach.
- Emissions applies here. Bucks is in the five-county emissions area. If the car failed, see selling a car that failed inspection.
- Estate cars: the Bucks County Register of Wills is in Doylestown. See selling without a title if the title is in a deceased owner's name.
- Lower Bucks vs. Upper Bucks: it's the same process whether you're in Bensalem or Quakertown. Give the exact ZIP code so pickup timing is accurate.
Paperwork checklist
- The title in your name (or see no title)
- A payoff quote, if there's still a loan
- Your photo ID
- Keys, if you have them (not required for every car)
- Remove your license plate after the sale. In Pennsylvania the plate stays with you, not the car.
